DRAFT — pending final legal review, not yet binding
Complaint Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-14
This policy covers how to raise a complaint about content on Afterdark — including a request to remove content depicting you, content that resembles you without consent, or content you believe violates our policies — and how we respond.
How to file a complaint
Email abuse@afterdark.ac with:
- A description of the content and where to find it (URL if possible).
- The reason for your complaint (e.g. resembles a real person, depicts a minor, prohibited content category, copyright).
- Your contact information.
Our response process
- We acknowledge complaints and begin review promptly.
- Reports alleging depiction of a minor or resemblance to a real, identifiable person are treated as highest priority; the content is removed from public view pending investigation.
- We will inform you of the outcome once review is complete.
Escalation
Copyright complaints should instead use our DMCA process. Complaints alleging illegal content will be escalated to law enforcement or NCMEC where legally required, in line with our Underage Policy.
