Underage Policy

Afterdark has a zero-tolerance policy toward minors, both as users of the Service and as subject matter of any generated content. This policy applies regardless of whether real people are involved — all generated content, synthetic or not, is subject to it.

Users must be adults

You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account. We require age attestation at signup and may require third-party age verification in jurisdictions that mandate it. Accounts found to belong to a minor are terminated immediately and associated content is removed.

No content depicting minors, in any form

Generating, requesting, uploading, or attempting to elicit content that depicts or implies a minor — including through age-coded prompts, school or childlike settings/body characteristics, or "aged-down" characters — is strictly prohibited. This applies even though all Afterdark content is synthetic: apparent-age violations are treated identically to depictions of a real minor.

Detection and enforcement

• Prompt-side filtering blocks known age-coded and minor-adjacent terms before a generation request reaches the model.
• Every generated output passes an automated minor-detection classifier before delivery; positive hits are held, not deleted.
• Confirmed violations result in immediate account termination, preservation of the material as evidence, and a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and, where applicable, law enforcement.

Reporting

If you believe you've encountered content on Afterdark that depicts a minor, report it immediately to abuse@afterdark.ac. Reports are treated as the highest priority and reviewed on an expedited basis.
